Unleaded Group Releases New Responsive Website Showcasing Capabilities
To highlight its expanded capabilities and growth, the Unleaded Group launched its own new website in June. The responsive Unleaded Group website showcases the web design and development that has secured the company’s success in building dynamic, cross-platform websites. The site features a portfolio of client work as well as an informative blog on industry trends and topics of interest to online marketers.
From its inception in 1996, Denver-based Unleaded Group has grown into an industry-leading web development company with 40+ staff members at headquarters in Denver and its satellite office in Ahmedabad, India. Unleaded’s client list spans four continents. Even more diverse is the Unleaded team with employees originally from the Philippines, South Korea, Russia, Israel, and India.
“Ours is truly a global industry,” said Jarod Clark, president of Unleaded Software Inc. “Our international team is building top notch ecommerce websites and content managed sites for worldwide customers.”
As increasing numbers of shoppers turn to the internet, Unleaded’s mission is to maximize its clients’ exposure on Google and other search engines, applying tools and strategies to convert shoppers into buyers. One of those tools is Responsive Design, coding that recognizes if a shopper is connecting to the internet by a desktop computer, cell phone or tablet and delivering the site in the format and size readable on those multiple devices.
In April 2015, Google implemented an algorithm to delimit non-mobile or non-responsive websites from a search conducted by a mobile device. Responsive websites overcome that hurdle, adapting the site to be readable on the size screen in use. According to Clark, responsive technology guarantees any business a higher ranking in the search engines.
Once a shopper lands on a website, it’s crucial that they’re able to move quickly to things that interest them and buy those things easily and securely. This becomes the job of Unleaded’s team of content managers and site developers. “On a website, especially on a small screen like a cell phone, a picture is literally worth a thousand words,” says Leon Averbukh, Unleaded’s Director of Digital Marketing. “By using strong images, we can help a shopper recognize things they want and quickly direct them to the products they want to buy.”
While website templates can shortcut the design time and cost of a custom-designed site, Unleaded recommends custom design. “We can design sites using standardized templates, but our real strength is in integrating the best features of each platform to build a site that’s highly optimized for a customer’s specific requirements,” Clark noted.
Two of the platforms the Unleaded Group uses are Magento—the leading e-commerce platform—and Expression Engine. “Magento is the world leader in e-commerce software,” Clark says. “It’s used to power some of the most respected online businesses—like eBay, for instance—and is the platform of choice for nearly every serious seller on the internet.” As one of the earliest Magento affiliates, Unleaded boasts 11 Magento-certified developers on its staff. “We grew alongside Magento and are experts at integrating its robust e-commerce capabilities with other content management systems like Expression Engine and Craft for large and small clients alike.”
